Job Description
Role Overview
Works as part of the Pricing team, providing support to more senior actuarial colleagues across a range of Pricing activities ensuring we are able to win and maintain profitable business.
Role Responsibilities
Supports senior actuarial colleagues with activities, including reinsurance quotations, within the Pricing team by processing, analyzing, interpreting data and conducting research as well as having a good understanding of the context of the task we are trying to solve, and making related recommendations
Appropriately documents relevant considerations (including in pricing papers) with demonstration of thought processes under the guidance from senior colleagues
Assists in conducting experience reviews for in-force treaties including collating data, analysis and result documentation
Suggests and supports the wider Pricing team with improvements across processes, tools, models and documentation including challenging current practices
Communicates effectively, ensuring appropriate stakeholder management within the Pricing team including providing updates at the appropriate time
Develops internal relationships within and across teams.
Has a good understanding of the markets that the business operates in.
Skills & Experience
5 - 10 years of working experience in the (re)insurance industry with significant experience in Pricing or Valuation
Nearly/ Early qualified fellowship of a professional actuarial body
Experience of using Prophet, MoSes, Tyche or similar modelling platforms
Good analytical skills and a demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise workloads and deliver tasks on time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders in Actuarial and non-Actuarial teams.
Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
