About the Position

We are looking for an Accounting Policy Specialist to join our Hong Kong team and support our local and global accounting operations.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across our global offices to analyse the implementation of accounting standards where the firm operates and drive the ongoing development and enhancement of our global accounting policies. You’ll apply US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other applicable standards, taking into account the business environment, market practices, and the nature of our operations.

We’re looking for someone who is discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working to deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential in our work, and we value people who can stay organised and proactive while balancing multiple priorities.

At Jane Street, we’re always looking for thoughtful solutions to complex problems, and that includes our approach to accounting. This role offers broad exposure to the firm’s operations. Your industry expertise will be valuable as we collaborate with outside auditors and advisors on accounting policy matters.
