Program Background

The Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is an Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) program implemented by DT Global.

Under strategic direction from DFAT officials at the Australian High Commission in PNG, ESIP is delivering a range of activities and policy initiatives in the energy, telecommunications and water sectors. ESIP is also supporting PNG’s state-owned enterprise performance improvement program and delivering social infrastructure planning, design and construction services.

Gender equity, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and social and environmental safeguards are a focus of the program and are mainstreamed across ESIP’s activities and operations.

The Role

The Project Coordinator will provide core administrative and coordination support to the Director of Policy and State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), as well as to Program Managers overseeing activities in supporting the effective delivery of ESIP’s initiatives within the SOE, ICT and Energy sectors in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

The role is essential in ensuring the smooth delivery of ESIP-supported initiatives by assisting with task coordination, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement logistics.

About You

Qualifications or degree in Policy, Public Administration, Business Management or Social Sciences or similar discipline

Demonstrated experience in providing administrative, logistical, or coordination support in a development, government, or donor program environment

Previous experience working with development partners or on aid-funded programs is an advantage

Knowledge and / or experience of applying GEDSI and safeguards principles.
