Position Overview:
• Our client's Sensor Fusion team is seeking a skilled engineer to support radar mode development and sensor fusion algorithm design for aircraft-based systems. • This role involves creating new radar modes and contributing to the development of real-time embedded software for advanced avionics systems. Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop radar modes to enhance sensor fusion capabilities.
• Develop, analyze, and test real-time embedded software for sensor fusion applications.
• Define and implement algorithms supporting radar and sensor integration.
• Write and maintain software requirements, design documentation, and test plans.
• Participate in code reviews, integration, and testing of operational flight programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic environment.
• Adapt to changing project needs and communicate effectively with team members. Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and MATLAB.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
• 10+ years of hands-on embedded C++ development.
• 10+ years of algorithm implementation and verification (MATLAB experience preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in fusion development or Kalman filter application.
• 5+ years of radar development and/or integration.
• 5+ years of experience with Visual Studio.
• 5+ years of experience with Windows or Linux environments.
• Background in developing sensor modes and algorithms.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Full software development lifecycle experience including architecture, design, integration, and testing. Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with radar systems, especially active electronically scanned arrays (AESA).
• Proven background in algorithm development for radar, sensor fusion, tracking systems, and signal processing.
• Experience with Kalman filtering and sensor measurement processing.
• Prior experience developing to formal software requirements.
