Position overview:

The Shift Manager is responsible for building and leading an effective, cohesive and committed team, which will maintain maximum safety, quality, spoilage and production standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Being the ambassador of Ball’s culture, driving the right behaviours amongst all plant employees

Responsible for the production process as a whole in accordance with the planned performance

Responsible for material and tooling supply

Ensure job distribution and arrangement within shift

Effectively manage all areas of manufacturing (includes safety, quality, production, scrap, personnel issues, etc.)

Prepare production reports

Take part in development and maintenance of the integrated management system

Undertake the responsibilities of Quality Control Manager and Mechanical Supervisor during holiday and night shifts

Detect beforehand the problems that can avoid production and ensure them to be solved

Ensure cleanness of production areas and machineries, as providing all workers pay attention to this matter

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in a people leading role within manufacturing industry and 24/7 environment

Problem solving/total quality skills

Analytical skills to interpret numerical data

Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique

Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practices

Fluency in written and spoken English
