General Foreman - Construction

A position has become available for a General Foreman to join our dynamic team, based in Centurion.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Planning and overseeing operational projects;

• Organizing tools, plant, machinery and materials;

• In-field supervising and managing construction activities;

• Identifying materials and equipment that may be required;

• Ensuring construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications;

• Productivity and cost monitoring on a daily basis;

• Ensuring that quality of work and materials comply with specifications;

• Consistently complying with all company policies and procedures;

• Must have good personnel relations; & safety working practice;

• Must be able to adhere and enforce site safety rules & regulations on all personnel;

• Ensure all contractor activities adhere to the construction schedule, timely placement of materials and working of material within the scope of the construction design;

• Must have the ability to read, understand and organize construction Plans and Specifications;

• Able to manage resources to obtain maximum production;

• Strong understanding of construction background, equipment, and procedures;

• Computer literate on MS Office;

• Medically fit;

• Must be able to compile and follow Microsoft projects professional program;

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans;

• Hardworking and trustworthy;

• Must be presentable.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric;

• Minimum 10 years experience in construction;

• Valid driver’s license.
