Join our Product Security team at CoverMyMeds, where you'll build innovative tools that enhance security and audit processes across our product ecosystem. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy impactful work without the pressure of rapid release cycles.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop secure, scalable software tools that reduce risk and improve team productivity.
Investigate and resolve software issues using diagnostic analysis and secure coding practices.
Write, document, and debug code; lead peer reviews and refactoring efforts.
Ensure software quality through adherence to coding standards and testing best practices.
Support release management, monitoring, and observability for applications.
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities; conduct ongoing risk assessments.
Collaborate across teams (Product Security, SRE, Engineering) to deliver integrated solutions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to process improvements.
Provide on-call support as needed.
Candidate must be based in the metropolitan area of our hub city Columbus, OH. Position will primarily allow for remote working

Minimum Job Qualifications
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience
Critical Skills
4+ years of experience in web-based software development.
3+ years of experience with Ruby, Python, PHP, or JavaScript libraries.
2+ years in manual and automated testing, version control, and agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Experience with performance monitoring, observability, and secure coding standards.
Background in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, insurance).
Familiarity with security frameworks (OWASP ASVS, NIST, PCI-DSS).
Strong communication and mentoring skills.
Additional Details
Must reside in the Columbus, OH metro area.
