Position Summary
As an EDM Machinist Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a Swiss-style traveling EDM flushing machine (non-submergible) using ESPRIT software. You’ll work closely with our progressive tool and die team, contributing your machining and milling expertise to ensure top-tier production results.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Set Up Machines: Program and set up Swiss-style EDM machines using ESPRIT software to meet precise job specifications.
Operate EDM Equipment: Run EDM machines efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight tolerances.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with tool and die makers to support production of complex, high-precision components.
Perform Machining Tasks: Carry out milling and additional machining operations as required for production.
Machine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues.
Quality Assurance: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to guarantee precision and conformance.
Workplace Safety: Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating Swiss-style EDM machines
Proficiency in ESPRIT software for CNC/EDM programming
Strong background in progressive tool and die machining
Skilled in milling operations and general machining
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control
