Electronic Learning Development Associate Specialist

The College of Pharmacy’s Learning Design and Multimedia (LDM) team is seeking a part-time Electronic Learning Development Associate Specialist to support the development and deployment of high-quality, accessible e-learning content. This position collaborates with LDM staff and faculty to create interactive learning modules, multimedia assets, and digital course materials using best practices in instructional design and educational technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain e-learning modules in Professional and Continuing Education Canvas and CarmenCanvas, including accessible course elements (e.g., modules, pages, quizzes).

Utilize e-learning authoring tools to create interactive and engaging instructional content.

Design and produce multimedia assets, including graphics and instructional videos, to support course delivery.

Perform video editing and post-production tasks to enhance instructional media.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and LDM staff to ensure content aligns with instructional goals and accessibility standards.

Provide technical and instructional support through the TeamDynamix ticketing system, addressing routine inquiries and troubleshooting issues.

Apply foundational knowledge of instructional design principles, web accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and educational technologies to support project goals.

Required Experience/Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Foundational understanding of instructional design theories and practices. Familiarity with web design principles and basic HTML. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to identify and troubleshoot common issues in educational technologies.

Desired Experience/Education:

Experience with CarmenCanvas or similar learning management systems. Familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere). Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator). Awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1.

Additional Information:

The pay range for this job profile is $24.76 – $32.33 per hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.

Hybrid work arrangement: Two 8-hour days on campus per week. Remaining hours may be completed remotely. Availability required during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
