PROCESS ENGINEER II

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Ensure implementation of process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide the Global Process Owner with the necessary information for the creation of the "Process Design Guideline" to ensure global standardization of processes.

Ensure the standardization of equipment and processes in the manufacturing plants in Mexico.

Provide the necessary information to the global process owner for the standardization of equipment globally.

Support standardize maintenance tasks for tooling and operating equipment.

Develop and/or update master PFMEAs.

Develop FMEAs as needed.

Plan and implement reverse PFMEA and execute recommended actions.

Apply continuous improvement projects (KAIZEN) to processes.

Creation of line documentation: work instructions, flow charts (including cycle times per part numbers, line layout, etc).

Construction of prototype samples as customer requirements for new programs and/or possible engineering changes, including raw material procurement and inventory

Support of Standard of work creation together with Launching Engineers (NPI) related with new machines.

Order equipment required for production increases and new projects.

Lead and/or participate in layout movement and plant transfer, including re-PPAP activities such as: layout design, sampling, PFMEA update, WI updates, etc.

Provide support as needed to production, quality and manufacturing.

Monitor performance of new production equipment. Example OEE and PPMs and take actions relevant to your role for the improvement of these indicators.

Support Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in corrective actions related to customer complaints and/or audits.

Participate, in aligment with Quality, with the construction of master samples, red rabbit samples, and defect catalog for daily line challenging of machine controls and training to operative personnel.

Active participation as process owner and with the Process Global Owner.

Create and/or update work instructions and procedures as well as ensure training in the manufacturing plants in Mexico.

Participate in new projects to improve productivity, use of materials (scrap) and resources.

Participate in the development of new products, lines and technologies.

Attend visits from customers, suppliers or colleagues from other locations, as required.

Provide continuous improvement projects by analyzing processes and/or work methods to improve productivity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional career (Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related).

3 years of experience in manufacturing processes or similar position.

Knowledge of computer tools (Word, Excel, Power point, Access, Autocad).

FMEA and Basic core tools.

Experience with Autocad required.

Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing: cycle times, line balancing, Kanban, VSM, etc.

Kaizen.

High knowledge in mechanics and electronics.

High knowledge in 2D and 3D drawings and GD&T.

Experience with problem solving tools: 5W, 8D, DMAIC, PDCA.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Lenguage Skills:

Intermediate English

TRAVEL: Local and Global
