We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior DevSecOps Developer to play a pivotal role in our innovative team. In this position, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and implementing advanced security automation, secure infrastructure, and robust deployment pipelines.
What You'll Do:
Lead IaC Development: Independently design, develop, and maintain complex Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for large-scale, enterprise-grade infrastructure provisioning and management within AWS.
Drive Cloud Automation & Orchestration: Lead the design and implementation of advanced automation scripts and tools for security controls, compliance checks, and continuous deployment within AWS.
Architect Secure AWS Environments: Design and implement secure-by-default cloud architectures, leveraging AWS security services and best practices to ensure robust system protection.
Implement Advanced GitOps: Drive the adoption and maturity of GitOps methodologies for infrastructure and application deployment, ensuring immutable, auditable, and secure delivery pipelines.
DevSecOps Toolchain Mastery: Select, integrate, configure, and optimize a comprehensive suite of DevSecOps tools across the CI/CD pipeline
Security by Design & Review: Embed security considerations into every phase of the SDLC. Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling sessions, and provide expert guidance on secure coding practices.
Mentor Junior Staff: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior DevSecOps Developers, fostering their growth, reviewing their code, and sharing your expertise in secure cloud development and operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Active DHS Public Trust Clearance with ability and willingness to process for Top Secret clearance
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
8+ years of hands-on experience in a DevSecOps, DevOps, or senior cloud engineering role with a strong security focus
Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using Terraform, including independent design, module creation, and management for enterprise infrastructure
Proven experience developing custom software solutions (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js) to automate security processes, integrate tools, or enhance cloud operations
Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including a deep understanding of core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda) and AWS security services
Strong practical experience with cloud automation, orchestration, and GitOps workflows for secure deployments
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across various layers of the stack
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
Desired Skills:
AWS Associate-level certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Developer - Associate) preferred
Experience working in GCP or Azure cloud environments
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild) and integrating security gates

This is a full-time position and work days are Monday through Friday. Specific work hours are established with Team Lead. Work location may vary, including onsite requirements which are outlined in the requirements and confirmed with Team Lead.
