PRE-SERVICE TRAINING:

All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services must complete three (3) weeks of paid pre-service training at our Training Academy in Orient, Ohio. The training is Monday-Thursday, 7\:00 am - 5\:00 pm. Travel, lodging, and meals are provided.

DYS is a “qualifying employer” for purposes of the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness [PSLF] program.

Job Skills: Information Technology

We are seeking an Infrastructure Specialist 2 in our Division of Information Technology Services.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Install, maintain, configure, upgrade, and/or administer hardware and/or software; diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues; create, organize, file, and maintain documentation

Review and monitor enterprise security systems; take appropriate action and respond to alarm/alerts per DYS policy and procedure; maintain, update, and manage user access controls and security tools; provide system, system owners, and IT support staff with effective vulnerability mitigation strategies, meaningful vulnerability metrics, security controls and/or corrective actions for mitigating technical and business risk

Interface with other platforms from a hardware and/or software perspective; answer questions and present informal mentorship opportunities to peers and/or lower-level staff via conversation, observation, or technical documentation

Travel to DYS facilities and regional offices to resolve issues
