We have a fantastic newly created opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Cartons Australia business on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Based in Sydney and reporting into the General Manager Operations & Projects ANZ, this role will project manage multiple high impact workstreams for the establishment of a new greenfield manufacturing site in Sydney.
As the key project manager across this program of work you will take a pivotal role in ensuring effective project management of timelines, budgets, technical and compliance works. You will work with multiple cross functional stakeholders across the Opal business, supervise onsite equipment installations, undertake technical design and manage external contractors and suppliers during onsite removals and installations.
Key to success in this role will be:
Successfully implementing business critical project works to compressed timelines
Managing cross functional relationships to execute project works to plan
Achieving project brief outcomes OTIF in a dynamic environment across two sites
Holding external contractors to account to meet desired cost, quality, and time constraints
Building engagement and ownership with site teams
An unwavering commitment to a positive safety culture at all times

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;
Significant project management experience, ideally with previous experience in commissioning and/or decommissioning a manufacturing site
A successful track record of planning, co-ordinating and managing multiple projects, tasks, and activities within a high-pressured and time sensitive work environment
A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and engineering / maintenance experience within manufacturing
Experience in developing and leading Trades and Contractors
Well-developed understanding of business systems such as ISO, HACCP, Safety, Environmental Management, Quality and Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP).
Ability to trouble shoot equipment failures
A strong results orientation
Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organisation (internally & externally)
