As Group Data Privacy Officer at DSV, you will take the strategic and operational lead on data privacy across our global organisation – turning regulation into scalable, pragmatic solutions.

A legal team with global reach and daily collaboration

Based in Hedehusene, you will become part of our Group Legal unit and more specifically our Legal Operations team. Group Legal in DSV is a global team with more than 150 colleagues, with around 10 of us located in Hedehusene, and the rest spread out across the many countries DSV operates in.

We work closely with our local offices around the world, as well as both IT, Compliance and other Group functions – and you will gain a collaborative in-house legal network both in Hedehusene and globally.

Take ownership of data privacy – from strategy to daily operations

As Group Data Privacy Officer, you will contribute to the strategic direction for data privacy and ensure that DSV meets compliance requirements across its global organisation.

You will act as both subject matter expert and operational lead, translating legal obligations into pragmatic and practical processes – and in collaboration with our local offices, you will ensure that these are also workable across our global operations.

Among other things, you will:

Maintain and develop DSV’s global privacy policies, ensuring they are up to date and operationally anchored

Lead the global network of local privacy contacts and act as their main point of support

Be the designated expert for internal questions related to data privacy as well as data privacy related documents and topics

Drive the mapping of systems, data flows and processing activities, including the development of supporting tools and questionnaires (you will have great support for administrative tasks in this regard)

Lead the global group in taking the next steps in digitising the compliance processes

Take the lead on privacy-related configurations and reporting in OneTrust, which serves as DSV’s core privacy system

"You will not just apply policies. You will help build them, shape the tools behind them and make privacy part of our global infrastructure across regions, business units and cultures,” Christoffer continues.

Experienced in data privacy and confident in your legal foundation

With your ability to prioritise tasks with a pragmatic approach, you strike the right balance between quality and delivery. Also, you are proactive and ensure progress on your side of the table, while also cooperating and navigating in a global setting across functions, cultures, and geography.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

Bring some years of experience with data privacy – perhaps from a similar role

Have good knowledge of and experience working with the GDPR regulation

Hold a master’s degree in law, business law or a similar field, or be certified within data privacy. However, your practical experience and ability to apply it in a complex organisation matter more to us than the specific title of your degree

Have experience with OneTrust or a similar privacy compliance system – or the ability to quickly learn new IT systems

Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and spoken
