Responsible for analysis, development, enhancements, troubleshooting, fixes, and ongoing maintenance of SAP ABAP related customizations which support the Network Services business areas. Position includes ongoing project-based development work, as well as day to day support of existing applications. Applications in the environment include S4HANA ON PREMISE – Release 2022 SP: 02 (05/2023) FPS, with modules including SD, Vistex, MM, FI, CO and AB (Agency Business). Other SAP systems in the landscape include SAP BI/BW, Portal, Gateway, BOBJ and Solution Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

DEVELOPMENT

Responsible for development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements of business systems.

Learn and assist the team with the Fiori app developments in BAS tool

Ability to take detailed programming designs and perform the development required to translate them into efficient and accurate code.

Ability to perform Unit testing, Integration testing and Regression testing during the various phases of the project or enhancement. Also, able to prepare for and conduct user acceptance test sessions with business end users, demonstrating how the solution meets their requirements.

Day to day support, administration and maintenance as Level 2 or 3 support for reported issues with assigned application areas/systems.

Prepare project related documentation (technical design, test scripts) during the appropriate stages of a project or enhancement.

Capable of effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders possessing various levels of technical knowledge. Ability to determine the underlying issue when presented with sometimes ambiguous and/or contradictory information; demonstrate good listening skills.

Ability to quickly solve/determine problems working with technical/non-technical groups in areas that may not be primary area of expertise.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND USER SUPPORT

ABAP Development:

Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).

Create and manage modular programs using function modules, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and enhancement points.

Work on Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP on HANA including CDS Views and AMDP.

Fiori Configuration and Development:

Configure, customize, and extend SAP Fiori standard applications.

Develop custom SAPUI5 applications using Client (Business Application Studio).

Integrate OData services with Fiori apps and ensure performance tuning.

Support and Maintenance:

Provide L2/L3 level support for ABAP and Fiori-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and handle change requests and performance tuning.

Monitor application logs and manage defect tracking and resolution.

Collaboration:

Work closely with business for SAP functional areas (MM, SD, FI/CO, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Work closely with Workato, PI/PO and Salesforce teams for the cross-team application developments.

Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and deployment planning.

WHO YOU ARE:

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Proficient in RICEF components, Object-Oriented ABAP, OData and ABAP on HANA.

Strong experience in Fiori Elements, annotations, Smart Controls, AMDP, and CDS views.

Good understanding of SAP NetWeaver Gateway and RESTful services.

Extensive experience in IDOC processing, including IDOC types, segments, EDI, and ALE configurations.

Experience in performance tuning of ABAP programs and Fiori apps.

Customize standard Fiori applications and enhance user experiences with responsive and user-friendly interfaces

Troubleshoot issues related to SAP Fiori applications and provide timely resolutions

Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed in SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 development

Integrate SAP Fiori applications with backend systems, including ECC and S/4HANA environments

Desired experience with SAP partner applications and their integrations to SAP:

Vistex Pricing solution

SAP Security

Experience in full development life cycle - all areas and phases of the SDLC.

Strong understanding of the SAP Sales and Distribution module

Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to translate and communicate technical issues to a business level understanding.

Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Individual must have proven ability to support multiple projects on an aggressive timeline.

Able to work with staff at all levels of corporate management.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities on assigned tasks.

Ability and willingness to learn.

Ability to lead small projects that involve 1-2 other developer resources including assigning and reviewing the work of these resources.

Serve as a primary technical point of contact to external consultants for projects that require little/no new development from SAP Development team, supporting the consultants and escalating issues as required.

CERTIFICATIONS

SAP Certified ABAP or Fiori Developer.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.

3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.

Education Requirements:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

The Anticipated Salary Range for this position:

$100,000 - $120,000

Network has established a salary range for this position based on a combination of market data, industry standards and specific requirements of the role. The actual starting salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills and abilities.
