Title: Construction Superintendent
Reports to: President or Managing Partner
Job Overview: Construction Superintendent position for residential and/or commercial projects. This is a full-time, exempt position that oversees the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The duties of a construction superintendent will vary, however, they can expect to be responsible for daily/weekly/monthly scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Meet with building owners/ tenants to discuss build-out specifications and improvements.
Create estimates for build-out projects, including labor, supplies, materials and other ancillary costs.
Maintain a daily job site log and take daily photos.
Coordinate all construction services and activities.
Maintain the schedule and budget; make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
Leading and managing the on-site construction crews.
Attending production meetings.
Constant communication with their Project Manager.
Ensuring quality standards meet the standards of New West, the client and their design team, and the construction documents.
Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
Following the project timeline.
Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliances. Also maintaining safety/injury log for each project.
Maintain site cleanliness and orderliness.
Keep detailed records for site personnel.
Oversee all phases of project.
This position requires some exposure to the elements, i.e. inclement weather, extreme heat or cold, wind, etc. The person in this position shall be able to responsibly withstand and plan for these environmental conditions.
This position requires little travel, mostly from jobsite to jobsite or jobsite to office.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word), Procore, Bluebeam, etc.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ambidextrous hand motions and ability to grip objects is a must.
