Mixed Methods User Researcher
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Mixed Methods User Researcher to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be adept at qual moderation, survey analysis, reporting, and will thrive in a fast-paced work environment. They will be responsible for handling end-to-end research projects, showcasing excellent communication, and collaborating seamlessly with researchers, product managers, designers, and engineers.
About the Team
The Facebook Play team builds the world's top destination for social games where people can strengthen and form new connections through play. Additionally, the team builds experiences that introduce people to the metaverse on mobile devices and experience the Facebook app on emerging form factors like Quest. Our research team is the driving force behind the innovation and user-centered design that keep our experiences engaging and responsive to users needs.
Responsibilities
Scope study objectives, research questions, and methods aligned with product team needs leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing) Collaborate closely with other researchers, cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and product management, to integrate user research into the product development process.
Own end-to-end research activities including managing study setup, participant recruitment, schedule logistics, and interview moderation (mix of in-person and remote per study needs) Translate research findings into actionable insights that can influence product and strategy Communicate research results to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations
Qualifications
5 years of UX Research experience, either in-house with Fortune 500 companies and/or in a consultancy Prefer advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field Proficiency in a range of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a strong understanding of when and how to apply different methods during the product development cycle.
Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work well in a team and build relationships with stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, concise concepts.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to manage simultaneous projects with varied timelines and demands.

**Note:**
This is a remote role with a preference for candidates who live within commuting distance to the Meta Seattle offices and willing to come onsite when in-person lab studies are needed. The initial contract is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 2 years depending on performance and ongoing business needs.
