Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a part-time, long-term contract basis. This role is based in Columbus, Ohio, and offers the opportunity to work closely with our Chief Compliance Officer, providing vital support in contract management, corporate law, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles, providing concise written summaries to the General Counsel.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to legal entities, ensuring compliance with all filing requirements.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, including amendments and simple form documents, while facilitating the contract process between various practices and physicians.
• Assist in updating and maintaining contract templates and other legal forms.
• Organize and maintain legal records, including meeting minutes and other essential documents.
• Coordinate daily administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and drafting correspondence.
• Support the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel with special projects and ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
• Handle legal entity file management, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is essential.
• Enrollment in a law school program or possession of a Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience supporting a legal team in-house is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and research methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive matters.
