Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager - IT to oversee and optimize the acquisition of IT hardware and software required to support luxury cruise operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT hardware solutions that meet the unique demands of the luxury cruise industry. This role involves aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement IT hardware procurement strategies, integrating emerging trends and forecasting needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Vendor & Product Management:

Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with specialized hardware and software suppliers.

Negotiate favorable contracts, terms, and pricing, balancing cost and quality.

Oversee end-to-end testing and feature testing with external suppliers.

Acquisition & Logistics:

Source and manage the acquisition of diverse IT hardware (servers, networking, onboard/passenger devices) and software solutions.

Coordinate logistics for timely global delivery, installation, and rollout to both onboard and onshore operations, including support for invoice processing and vendor management systems.

Compliance & Risk:

Ensure all procurement activities comply with international maritime and IT industry regulations.

Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions, cybersecurity, and data privacy risks.

Budget & Cost Control:

Develop and manage the IT hardware procurement budget, tracking expenses, identifying cost savings, and ensuring financial efficiency.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration:

Work closely with IT teams, cruise operations, executive leadership, and onboard engineering to align procurement with business objectives and ensure system compatibility.

Innovation & Sustainability:

Incorporate sustainable practices and stay abreast of technological advancements to source innovative hardware solutions that enhance guest and crew experiences.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a plus

Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience, with a focus on IT hardware and software

Experience in the cruise or luxury hospitality industry is highly preferred

Proven track record in vendor negotiation and relationship management

Strong knowledge of IT hardware technologies and trends

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills; Fluency in English is a must

Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, or equivalent)

Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost optimization and quality

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
