Mechanical Engineer

Ohly has a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Boyceville, Wisconsin. This position is fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Design, develop and oversee the installation of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation, by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulic, heat transfer, and materials

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Engineers and Operations to support manufacturing processes and meet project goals

Analyze mechanical problems to develop requirements to specifications and innovative design solutions

Prepare and review technical documentation, including CAD drawings, 3D models, cost estimates and specifications, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements

Utilize mechanical design software and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for planning and execution

Ensure mechanical systems meet user needs, safety standards and customer requirements throughout all project phases

Serve as a technical resource, providing engineering guidance, troubleshooting support and leadership in problem-solving with minimal direction

Recommend improvements to design processes, work methods, and productivity systems

Present findings and recommendations through written reports and presentations

Coordinate closely with Electrical and Automation Engineers to integrate mechanical components Essential Skills & Knowledge:

BS or MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

3 - 5 years experience working in a Mechanical engineering role

Strong critical thinking, complex problem-solving and decision making abilities

Proven adaptability, creativity, and flexibility in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision

Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to engage effectively across all levels of the organization

Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and systems reliability

Advanced mathematical and analytical skills including proficiency in geometry, calculus and physics

Committed to workplace safety, compliance and legal standards and company policies

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage shifting responsibilities and meet tight deadlines

Practical judgement and a common-sense approach to problem-solving in real-world applications Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

Previous experiences managing mechanical systems and equipment

Previous project management and production process support experience

3 year's experience in industrial food plant processes is a plus
