Your role

Are you at your best when leading a team? Do you know how to inspire and coach a team to reach goals together?

To strengthen our Management Team in Qatar, we are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and energetic WM Desk Head to cover Pakistan, NRPs, and Kazakhstan.

In your role, you are running a desk as a pro-active market-oriented unit and you are responsible for:

• leading a team of Client Advisors to ensure the execution of client’s daily requests and prospect new relationships to the bank

• implementing a strategic client development plan that meets our clients' needs, objectives and expectations

• coaching all team members and ensure appropriate training and development measures using full transparency in communication and measurement

• supporting a sales culture with an effective prospecting, sales and acquisition process; regularly reviewing sales plan performance against the desk ambition

• regularly assess team members’ strengths and development opportunities, providing candid assessments and implementing improvement measures

• ensure cross border rules are adhered to for the Pakistan NRPs / Kazakhstan coverage

Your team

You’ll be working in the WM Middle East team in Qatar and report directly to the CEO – Country Head. We are a team who centers all activities around our clients. With our strong team spirit, we are able to achieve our high targets.

Your expertise

• you hold a university degree, with further education in banking or finance (MBA, CFA or equivalent)

• extensive banking experience including local experience in customer service

• know-how for financial markets, products and asset management

• a passion for sales and bringing clients on board

• a natural leader and motivator with the human touch

• comfortable being the main UBS representative in the region and keen to serve the client through a team approach

• agile in dealing with cultural and linguistic diversity

• fluent in English, Urdu and Kazakh would be considered a plus
