Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Automotive Technician in Fremont, CA! The fleet technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light to heavy duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Compensation: $35.00 hour - $45.00 hour DOE - Paid weekly, every Friday! Potential Sign-on Bonus up to $2,500!

**This position is subject to an alternative work week schedule (4 day, 10 hour work week), and the hired candidate will be presented with a vote to proceed with such schedule per California regulation soon after hire.

What the Auto Service Technician role looks like:

· Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer

· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles

· Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required

· Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

· Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles

· Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance

· Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles

· Maintain general upkeep and maintenance of Mobile Service Truck

· Respond to off-site client requests as needed

· Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary

· Perform other duties as required

What our ideal candidate looks like:

· At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school

· Must have valid Driver’s License

· CMV operation above 10K requiring medical certification

· Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email

· Ability to work without direct supervision

· Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers,

· supervisors, etc.)

· Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly

· Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.

Work Conditions:

Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.

Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.

Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants

Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance

Ability to move and position heavy objects

Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles

Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
