The primary responsibility of our Bellperson/Driver is to provide safe transportation by driving our hotel shuttle during the Minnesota State Fair and to provide excellent service by greeting all guests and assisting with luggage and other basic needs.

The Essential Functions of a Bellperson/Driver position include:

Maintain high visibility in lobby area and promote interaction with guests.

Knowledge of local points of interest and entertainment attractions.

Ability to provide accurate information on hotel services and amenities.

Delivers messages, faxes, and dry cleaning to guest rooms.

Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel vehicle(s) by vacuuming, dusting, and washing the exterior daily.

Assist guests requiring a taxi.

Polishes luggage carts on a daily basis.

Maintains a clean lobby area and other public areas by following daily checklist.

Conduct daily vehicle inspection before and after each shift.

Report any vehicle damage to supervisor or other hotel manager.

Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.

Supportive Functions:

Assist in check-in/check-out of guests or any other guest service-related activity.

Perform other duties as requested. Example: special request from guests.

Cover front office employee break periods.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Excellent knowledge of local attractions and entertainment venues

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests

Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts

Note: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
