Description

True Inspection Services is an engineering and construction management firm specializing in construction inspection and management services. Our project experience includes inspection of asphalt and concrete roadways, bridge construction and rehabilitation and coating inspection services. We have provided inspection services to both the public and private sector, including various state departments of transportation, counties, municipalities, and retailers throughout Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Maryland.

Due to our continued growth, a new opening is available for a Coatings inspector to assist with our projects in Columbus! We also have a traveling Coatings Inspector

Key Responsibilities

Inspection of structural steel coatings, observation of containment, disposal of hazardous waste, surface preparation, coating application, and familiarity with all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.

Complete and maintain daily records of field observations.

Read and interpret plans, specifications, and standards.

Perform material sampling and testing on applicable materials.

Assist other project management staff with identifying problems and developing viable solutions for consideration.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A High School diploma or GED is required

ODOT Prequalification is required

ODOT Work Type 26 Structural Steel Painting Course required

ODOT Work Type 57 Sealing of Concrete Surfaces Course required

AND the successful completion of one (1) of the following:

· NACE Level 1

· AMPP CIP 1

· SSPC Level 1

· SSPC Bridge Coatings Level 1
