Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and hands-on Civil Engineer (R&D) to join our concrete technology team. You will lead and support concrete lab operations, including experimental design, materials testing, and integration of carbon capture technology into cement-based materials.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, applied research, and industrial impact.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and optimise concrete lab operations in compliance with R&D and safety standards

Design and execute experiments to evaluate carbon capture utilisation (CCU) effects on concrete performance

Oversee procurement and setup of lab equipment and infrastructure

Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and partner institutions to deliver data-driven results

Contribute to project planning, reporting, and cross-functional innovation

Candidate Profile

PhD (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or related field

Proven track record in leading independent research projects

Strong understanding of concrete mixing, casting, curing, and mechanical testing

Experience in laboratory setup, equipment specification, and HSE compliance

Excellent communication and team coordination skills

Industry R&D experience in construction or materials science is highly desirable
