We have an opportunity for you!Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

(NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic / Technician at its Middletown, OH, facility.The Middletown facility produces and distributes Liquid Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Argon as well as bulk Helium and Hydrogen throughout the Midwest.

You will report to the Middletown Terminal Supervisor and will be responsible for the maintenance of Company owned tractors and trailers.We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, well-organized self-starter with a strong commitment to Safety.

We are looking for a strong teammate with the ability to work well with fellow mechanics, drivers, and operations personnel.As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, your benefits include but are not limited to:\nAll tools are provided by the company\nAnnual boot allowance\nCompany supplied uniforms\nVacation time during your first year of employmentAs a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, the primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\n\nPerform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on the Company's fleet equipment which includes Class A tractors, Class B straight trucks, cryogenic tankers, and tube trailers.\nDocument/record work performed electronically on computer-based maintenance system\nMaintain personal safety and training requirements using electronic training system\nPerform road repairs when necessary\nPerform electrical/electronic repairs on tractors and trailers\nParticipation in the Company's Safety, Training, Environmental and Improvement programs\n\nAdditional job responsibilities (with on-the-job training provided) will include:\nPerform cryogenic maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, piping, pumps, etc.\nPerform tube trailer maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, fittings, etc.\nCalibrate pump discharge meters\nSpot/move trailers as needed\nBuilding and grounds maintenance as needed\nGeneral housekeeping\nHelp manage Fleet inventories including parts, tires, lubricants, and fuels\n\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma/equivalent\n3-5 years strong diesel vehicle repair experience\nStrong mechanical background, with computer experience/skills\nSolid work history\nAbility to drive Class A and Class B tractors\nWelding knowledge and experience preferred\nElectrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits\nDiesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience\nTrade school graduates are encouraged to apply\nClass A CDL license preferred but not required\n\nWe are the world's largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
