Job Details
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Controls:
Prepare monthly financial statements (P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow statements)
Maintain and improve financial controls (tax compliance, banking, benefits)
Develop and monitor financial performance metrics
Operations Reporting:
Provide weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc operations reporting
Budgeting:
Lead the annual and quarterly budgeting process
Manage accruals and prepaid entries for G&A departments
Support department heads with financial analysis and queries
Audit & Compliance:
Oversee the annual financial audit process, including reconciliations and workpapers
Ensure timely provision of documents to auditors and respond to requests
Ensure regulatory compliance and implement fraud prevention procedures
Prepare tax workpapers and coordinate with tax preparers
Risk Management:
Manage the company’s risk program, including workers’ comp (WC), general liability (GL), and insurance
Department Leadership:
Supervise day-to-day operations of:
Payroll
Risk Management
Treasury
Accounting
Accounts Payable
Communication:
Collaborate with the President and CEO on financial decision-making
Provide regular financial updates to the Senior Leadership Team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience in the restaurant industry preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting
CPA preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with lease accounting, payroll compliance, and full-cycle accounting
Ability to manage complex financial reporting and controls
