Job Description

Location: Greeneville, TN

Starting Rate: $29.00 per hour for qualified individuals

Schedule: 48 hours per week, 6 days per week

Now Hiring: Maintenance Mechanic A (Electrical Background Required)

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic A with a strong background in electrical systems to join our maintenance team. This role involves advanced mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance, and inspections on essential equipment—all while prioritizing Personnel Safety and Food Safety standards.

As a senior mechanic, you’ll not only execute hands-on repairs but also guide junior mechanics and play a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise maintenance work completed by Mechanics B and other Mechanics A.

Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs, including electrical systems and wiring.

Design and execute mechanical and electrical improvement projects.

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

Strictly follow and promote OSHA, Food Safety, and Personnel Safety regulations.

Communicate potential safety or maintenance concerns to affected departments.

Safely use lockout/tag-out, confined space entry, and other safety procedures.

Keep accurate documentation of work orders, inspections, and part usage.

Qualifications

Must have a strong electrical background (installation, troubleshooting, wiring, motor controls, etc.).

2+ years of machinery maintenance experience or relevant technical/mechanical education.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints.

Skilled with tools including wrenches, electrical meters, welding equipment, and precision measuring devices.

Experience working with parts like bearings, pulleys, gears, belts, and chains.

Basic computer literacy; English or Spanish proficiency.

Familiarity with PPE use and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

May need to stoop, kneel, crawl, and work in tight areas.

Exposure to high heat (up to 120 ree;F), moving machinery, and loud environments.
