Job Description

Opsource of Gaffney is seeking diligent, detail-oriented Textile Associates to join a local Textile plant in Gaffney, SC. Experience is preferred, but the company will train.

Pay for the position:

$12 to start $17.66

Shift for the position:

1st 8a-4p

2nd 4p-12a

3rd 12a-8a

Job description for the position:

Fiber Preparation:

Cleaning, carding, combing, and spinning fibers (natural or synthetic) into yarn.

Loading fibers into machinery for processing.

Yarn and Fabric Production:

Operating machinery to weave, knit, or bond yarns and threads into textiles.

Setting up and operating textile machines for various processes like winding, twisting, knitting, weaving, and bonding.

Monitoring production and reporting any problems.

Finishing and Dyeing:

Dyeing and finishing fabrics, including applying treatments for stain, crease, or heat resistance.

Operating machinery for dyeing and drying cloth.

Printing designs on textiles.

Quality Control:

Performing quality checks on fabrics and finished products.

Inspecting garments for defects, damage, or stains.

Maintenance and Operations:

Keeping production areas clean and tidy.

Ensuring machines are ready for handover to the next shift.

Assisting machine operators and other textile workers as required.
