Job Description

**This is a full-time ON-SITE M-F position in Covington, LA**

JOB SUMMARY: The Programmer is responsible for developing, modifying, and testing code, forms, and scripts that enable computer applications to function effectively. This role involves using various programming languages, protocols, and tools to design, compile, and troubleshoot software solutions tailored to user needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Microsoft Visual Basic, SQL, Crystal Reports, Power BI, and APIs, along with a demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software applications based on user requirements.

Write, test, and debug code using appropriate programming languages.

Design and generate reports using Crystal Reports and Power BI.

Create and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and recommend solutions.

Work with APIs to ensure integration between internal and external systems.

Provide technical support for existing applications, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Maintain accurate documentation of code, processes, and configurations.

Stay current on emerging technologies and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Performs other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.Qualifications:

Proficient in SQL and relational database concepts

Hands-on experience with Crystal Reports and Power BI

Knowledge of API development and integration

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn new technologies and toolsEducation and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

2–5 years of experience in a programming or software development role preferred

Experience in business systems or application support is a plus
