Job Summary: As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of high-quality dishes in a timely, efficient, and sanitary manner. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and standards, contributing to our guests' overall dining experience.
Basic Job Duties:
Wash, peel, cut, chop, slice, and prepare cooking elements meal preparation during a shift.
Responsible for storing items in the refrigerator, covering items left in the open air, and preparing special food elements ahead of time so that they can be quickly accessed and used in cooking.
May be responsible for preparing a certain portion of a dish.
Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area throughout shift.
Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station. Break down and clean station thoroughly every day.
Ensure proper rotation of all products to par. Label, day dot, and sign all products. Obtain Chef/Manager signature on all products.
Must be dressed and well groomed in Company approved uniform at all times.
Observance of all SRC Polices and Procedures.
Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
Education/ Experience/ Skills:
Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
No regular travel requirements.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
