**Forklift $19-22**

**Responsibilities**

+ In spring and summer, inspect and maintain seed crops and manage seed inventory at the plant.

+ During fall, engage in harvesting and seed packaging activities, including receiving and processing trucks hauling crops, husk and sort operations, operating dryers, shelling and storing crops, supplying the Conditioning department with seeds, and applying treatments to seeds.

+ From November to March, label, tag, bag, and palletize seeds, enter inventory information into the computer, and stage seeds for shipment in the warehouse.

+ Between April and August, retag in-house seed, re-bag backhaul returned seed, inspect and wash pro boxes as necessary.

+ Monitor and operate field equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and adherence to standard operating procedures.

+ Maintain safety standards at all times and follow emergency procedures when necessary.

+ Rotate through various roles within the area, including control room rotation.

**Essential Skills**

+ Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations.

+ Ability to safely perform duties in a timely fashion while maintaining seed quality.

+ Ability to operate computer systems as needed.

+ Ability to work independently or with a team.

+ Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs.

+ Ability to make independent decisions.

+ Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

+ Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds, work indoors and outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Pass a pre-employment check

+ Have reliable transportation to the site.

+ Maintain enthusiasm, a good attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat all with respect.

+ Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime as needed.

**Work Environment**

Work in a rotating shift environment with 10-12 hour shifts, alternating between day and night. The role involves physical activities including lifting, pushing, and pulling, as well as working both indoors and outdoors on uneven surfaces. Dress code and equipment usage are governed by safety standards.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
