About the role
As a Java Microservices Solutions Architect you will make an impact by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cloud-native architectures that enhance airline operations and drive innovation across microservices ecosystems. You will be a valued member of the Technology and Cloud Solutions team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will:
· Architect scalable cloud solutions using AWS, Docker, and Spring frameworks.
· Implement microservices communication with Linkerd, Istio, Hystrix, and Eureka.
· Secure APIs and data using OAUTH and JWT.
· Build cloud-native apps with Spring Boot and manage Docker environments.
· Boost performance and reliability through caching, logging, and unit testing.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dallas TX. What you need to have to be considered.
· Java & Spring expertise (Spring Boot, MVC, Integration)
· AWS & Docker proficiency
· Microservices architecture knowledge (Hystrix, Eureka, Istio)
· API security skills (OAUTH, JWT)
· Performance & testing tools (Redis, JUnit, Mockito)

· Airlines domain experience
· Front-end skills (JQuery, CSS, HTML)
· Build tools (Gradle, Maven)
· Logging expertise (Log4J)

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $112,500 - $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
