Job Description

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to support the healthcare needs of students at a middle school in Columbus, OH. This contract position is aligned with the school calendar for the 25/26 academic year and involves managing a middle school caseload. The ideal candidate will have the necessary nursing credentials and experience working in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care and health services to students in accordance with school policies

Manage and maintain health records and individual healthcare plans for students

Collaborate with school staff to address health concerns and promote student wellness

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed

Assist in health screenings and communicable disease management

Support compliance with state and federal health regulations in the school setting

Qualifications:

Active RN or LPN/LVN license

Prior experience in a school nursing role is preferred but not required

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to student health and safety
