Full-time Litigation Associate
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Associate with a strong background in commercial litigation to support our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, research, and writing skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial litigation matters
Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
Assist in case strategy development and implementation
Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
Attend court hearings, trials, and arbitrations
Manage document review and production processes
Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Collaborate with partners and other associates on case management
Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends
Contribute to business development efforts and client relationships
Mentor junior associates and paralegals
Participate in firm committees and initiatives
Qualifications Required:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the California state bar
4+ years of experience in commercial litigation
Strong academic credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
Preferred:
Experience in a top-tier law firm or judicial clerkship
Knowledge of e-discovery platforms and processes
Familiarity with specific areas of commercial litigation (e.g., contract disputes, intellectual property, securities)
Second language proficiency
