Our firm practices in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, trust administration, special needs trusts, elder law, and real estate closings. We are looking for a full-time Associate Attorney with 1-2 years’ experience handling estate planning and probate litigation. We enjoy a friendly office atmosphere while working collaboratively to meet our clients' needs. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities include guiding clients through estate and probate litigation matters; updating clients regarding progress on their matter and respond to questions promptly; oversee a range of cases from inception to completion; draft and review pleadings, affidavits, petitions, complaints, motions, and correspondence; appear on behalf of personal representatives, trustees, and other parties at hearings, mediations, and conferences.
Qualifications & Requirements: The successful candidate must hold a Juris Doctor and Florida Bar member in good standing; Associate Attorney with 1-2 years’ experience preferred; Estate planning experience and probate experience strongly desired; elder law and real estate experience a plus
Skills & Abilities: Strong research skills and ability to explain complex legal issues clients; strong analytical ability and ability to work independently and as part of a team; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively share and gather information, evaluate case outcomes; Display attention to detail while reviewing legal documents to identify potential issues or inconsistencies; Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, paralegals and support staff to maintain a friendly work environment; possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
