G & W Products Inc. is a leader in contract metal manufacturing and fabrication. Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly. Our modern facilities include 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space between three facilities located in Fairfield, OH. We specialize in numerous industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We have an opening for a 1st shift Weld Inspector position to join our team in Fairfield, OH.

The schedule for this 1st shift position is Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

This position will follow blueprint product specifications to weld and fabricate parts to customer designs. Daily responsibilities are to align, fit and weld parts together. Set up and operate hand tools. Verify fabricated elements meet design specifications.

5 years’ previous Welding Experience and/or Weld Inspection experience in a manufacturing setting is a must

Capable of using measuring equipment (calipers, fillet or height gauges.)

Proficient at reading weld symbols and blue-print drawings

Experience with D1.1 preferred

Ground Combat Vehicle Welding code for aluminum and steel, preferred

AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) is a plus

Proficiency in GD&T preferred

Follow quality standards by providing great attention to detail.

Ensure work is done safely.

Lift raw materials (up to 50 pounds).

Maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping detailed records, maintain shop equipment and supplies.

Upon interviewing you must demonstrate that you can successfully complete the weld inspector assessment
