Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Quality Automation Engineer to join our client's team in New York City. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in test automation across web, mobile, and API layers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, hands-on experience in QA automation frameworks, and a proven track record in both small/mid-sized business environments and large enterprise settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
Execute and maintain functional UI tests for AEM-based websites and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
Implement test automation for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable test execution.
Author robust, reusable, and maintainable test scripts for regression and end-to-end testing.
Validate AEM components, templates, and content workflows to support content authoring and publishing quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define and validate test requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
Strong proficiency in automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and relevant automation frameworks.
Experience in testing AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) platforms and content workflows.
Proven experience in testing mobile applications and understanding of platform-specific test strategies.
Strong API testing skills and experience in REST-based service validation.
Comfortable working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma Brown Belt certification (nice to have).
Background in both small- to mid-sized companies and large enterprise environments.
Prior experience working in or with public sector or transit authorities is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Ability to work independently and proactively within a cross-functional team.
