**Job Summary:**

The Front Desk Agent at Unicoi State Park & Lodge is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests during the check-in and check-out process, handling phone inquiries, assisting with special guest requests, and upholding established policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

- Understand and adhere to hotel credit and check cashing policies.

- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel property, staff, services, and operating hours.

- Efficiently handle guest check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and professional manner.

- Develop a good understanding of room locations, types, and effective room selling strategies.

- Follow cash handling procedures and hotel rate policies.

- Handle reservations, including same-day bookings, cancellations, and walk-in procedures.

- Adhere to Lodge policies, grooming standards, safety rules, and procedures.

- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to ensure a harmonious work environment.

- Be flexible with work schedules to accommodate the Lodge's 24/7 operation.

- Fulfill reasonable requests from management as needed.

**Qualifications:**

- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

- Ability to read and understand instructions, as well as communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.

- Proficiency in basic math skills, including calculations and data interpretation.

- Strong reasoning abilities to solve problems effectively.

- Working knowledge of computer systems and point of sale operations.

**Other Skills and Abilities:**

- Ability to perform all duties efficiently according to company policies.

- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

- Willingness to adjust work schedules to meet business demands.

- Capability to fulfill reasonable requests from management.
