JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Facilities with the coordination of various aspects of facilities management projects.
Responsibilities include coordinating project activities to achieve project timelines; communicating between users & contractors on project details; develops project budgets & cost tracking; assisting with the identification, documentation, & resolution of university space needs, and complete other tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages project renovation and facilities improvement projects as assigned.
Leads the development of project scope of work, budget, and timeline Ensures design and construction teams are meeting the stated objectives of the project with respect to budget, scope, and timeline Manages the selection of design teams, construction contractors and related consultants and suppliers for minor projects Reviews and approves design professional and construction contractors' applications for payment Participates in the ongoing monitoring and documentation of square footage allocation by department across the campus.
Prepares, coordinates job bids and repair cost estimates.
Keeps positive communications with all stakeholders Reviews and maintains compliance with applicable regulations and ordinances.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma, vocational training or equivalent.
Experience with construction related documentation, submittals, drawings, reports, etc.
Experience with subcontractor procurement and contract administration.
Project Management experience In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards.
Valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Knowledge of Microsoft office software.
Ability to manage repair and renovation projects.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK May be required to work evenings, and weekends, including holidays, sometimes in inclement weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Frequently kneel/crawl, and climb.
Constantly stand/walk.
