Credit Analyst
The Credit Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the commercial lending team by managing and monitoring a portfolio of commercial loan relationships. This position ensures the ongoing quality, performance, and compliance of the loan portfolio while providing exceptional service to clients. The Credit Analyst works closely with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, Credit Administrators & CLO to maintain credit quality, identify risk trends, and support new business development efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Duties not limited to those provided here):
Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of assigned commercial loan accounts, including financial statement tracking, covenant compliance, and risk rating reviews.
Credit Analysis Support: Assist in the preparation of credit memos, annual reviews, and loan renewals by gathering and analyzing financial data, industry trends, and borrower performance.
Client Relationship Support: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding loan servicing matters, including disbursements, payments, and documentation requests.
Construction Loan Monitoring: Track construction project progress, processing construction loan draws, maintain records of disbursements and remaining loan availability, and prepare quarterly reports
Risk Monitoring: Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and escalate concerns to Relationship Managers and Credit Officers.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all loan files are complete and comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain portfolio reports, including delinquency reports, pipeline tracking, and loan maturity schedules.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments and third-party vendors to ensure smooth loan processing and servicing.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accounting, finance, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
At least one year of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or portfolio management preferred
Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking, and organization skills
Technology savvy
Proficient Microsoft office suite, including experience in excel and banking software preferred
Bilingual required. Fluency in Chinese and English preferred

Reports to: Chief Lending Officer
Location/Branch: Rowland Heights, CA
Salary: $55,000 to $75,000 a year. Exact compensation may vary based on experience, skills, knowledge, and education.
