Concrete Batch Plant Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the daily operations of a plant location including the operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance, and supervision of plant employees. The batch plant operator is also responsible for making quality concrete and providing it in a timely manner to the production crew. It is the batch plant operators responsibility to ensure that all the concrete we produce meets the required specifications. This is a Non-Exempt position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Ensure that all products to be delivered meet or exceed company and customer expectations.

Ensure acceptable inventory levels to meet customer needs.

Positively supervises and motivates truck drivers, loader operator and any plant personnel.

Demonstrates and communicates high standard of customer service and satisfaction.

Schedule and plan material deliveries based on information provided by dispatch to meet the delivery needs of the company. Ensure deliveries are made promptly, safely, and efficiently.

Must have a good safety behavior and attendance record and maintain a safe workplace.

Ensure that operation remains in compliance with all applicable environmental standards.

Maintain the plants condition, mechanically, clean, and organized.

Ensure the accuracy of the daily paperwork required by the company. Ensure all CODs are verified, properly secured, and delivered to the main office.

Ensure that employees are working efficiently and consistently.

Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and outside personnel.

Manage approved disciplinary process pertaining to drivers and operators.

Look for ways to improve and promote quality.

Apply feedback to improve performance.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
