Site engineer/site supervisor

Job Summary:

A Civil Site Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and according to specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day site operations to ensure timely execution of work.

Interpret technical drawings and construction plans.

Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, laborers, and vendors.

Manage site resources including materials, equipment, and manpower.

Prepare daily progress reports and update project documentation.

Monitor and maintain site safety protocols and compliance with legal regulations.

Resolve technical issues and provide on-site engineering support.

Liaise with consultants, architects, and clients for technical clarification and coordination.

Assist in material procurement and quantity estimation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent).

Experience: 1–5 years (depending on level of role).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.

Understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal guidelines.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership ability and team management.

Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
