Job Title: BIM Coordinator

Location: Columbus, OH

Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Direct

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator with a strong background in industrial projects to join a mid-sized, full-service engineering consulting firm based in Columbus, OH. This is a contract-to-direct opportunity with a company that supports major clients in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries.

About the Role:

As the BIM Coordinator, you ll play a pivotal role in supporting project teams through the setup and maintenance of BIM workflows and tools. You'll serve as a subject matter expert on BIM standards and software, assist with clash detection and model coordination, and help ensure project deliverables meet both internal and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain project-specific BIM standards, templates, and routines

Maintain BIM/CAD libraries in AutoCAD and Revit

Develop and document best practices and industry standards

Provide or coordinate training for BIM/CAD tools, both onsite and remote

Participate in project kickoff meetings to address BIM needs and collaboration

Support project teams in Navisworks and other 3D modeling tools

Manage integrated BIM models, perform clash detection, and maintain issue logs

Participate in design reviews and clash resolution meetings

Communicate effectively across departments and disciplines

Preferred Experience:

Background in piping design for industrial plants

Experience supporting projects in industrial facilities such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing sectors

Familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D

Comfortable in fast-paced, client-focused environments

Requirements:

Associate degree or equivalent training/experience

8+ years of experience in one of the MEP disciplines, including at least 3 years on industrial projects

Proficiency with:

Revit 2021 or newer

AutoCAD 2021 or newer

Strong experience with:

Navisworks Manage 2021 or newer, including clash detection setup

AutoCAD Plant 3D (highly preferred)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
