Join us on our lean journey, our Industry 4.0 journey, and our journey to win. DRT Holdings is looking for a CNC Programmer to join our team in Sidney, OH at our Aerospace facility.
SUMMARY: Responsible for writing 3, 4 and 5 axis programs for machining aerospace components of various materials using Siemens NX CAD/CAM software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret technical drawings, sketches, specifications and design data of part.
Develop, modify and optimize 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC programs for mills.
Selection of cutting tools and machine speeds and feed rates, according to knowledge of process, part specifications and machine capabilities.
Design and develop fixturing for machining set-up.
Create set-up sheets, tool sheets and any necessary process documentation for operators.
Document and maintain records of programming activities and machine setups.
Stay abreast of programming technology.
Collaborate with tooling vendors as necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
At least 8 years of manufacturing related experience.
Aerospace experience preferred but not required.
At least 5 years of experience programming 3 axis mills, using Unigraphics/NX software; 4-5 axis preferred.
Lathe programming experience is a plus.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and MasterCam is a plus.
GD&T knowledge required.
Knowledge of AS9100/ISO quality standards in a production environment.
MRP experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Must be able to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to the prescribed style and format and to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimals and fractions. Use simple formulae, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules. Checks reports, forms, records and comparable data where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
