Science Teacher – Junior High

Grades: 6–8

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Arizona

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Junior High Science Teacher to provide high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards. The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom environment, support student achievement in science, and engage students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or related field

Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (Science or appropriate content area)

Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

SEI Endorsement required

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging science instruction aligned with state and district standards

Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Design lesson plans that adapt to the needs of diverse learners

Utilize technology and lab resources to enhance instruction

Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records

Communicate student progress regularly with parents and guardians

Support student learning through collaboration with school teams

Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) when applicable

Participate in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development

Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times
