Helicopter Maintenance Quality Inspector
Fort Worth, TX Full-Time FAA A&P Required
Overview
A Texas-based aviation maintenance operation is hiring a Quality Inspector to oversee helicopter maintenance compliance, airworthiness inspections, and release-to-service validations. This position is critical to ensuring that all aircraft maintenance activities align with FAA regulations, OEM guidance, and internal quality standards.
The ideal candidate is an experienced A&P with strong inspection background, excellent documentation discipline, and deep familiarity with civilian rotorcraft platforms.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret maintenance data (OEM publications, ADs, ICA, FAA 337s) to confirm completed work meets airworthiness standards
Validate that maintenance tasks are performed using current data, calibrated tools, and FAA-approved procedures
Review historical records and inspection forms to ensure aircraft ADs, service bulletins, and logbooks are fully updated
Confirm proper technician sign-offs and document all unresolved discrepancies before ground run or return to service
Ensure appropriate forms are used in each work order, and that items removed, replaced, or installed are properly documented
Maintain accurate AD compliance records and clearly document any customer-declined maintenance or exclusions
Communicate proactively with quality and maintenance leadership regarding any safety, schedule, or financial concerns
Support continuous improvement across inspection processes, documentation, and regulatory tracking
Requirements
FAA A&P license (Part 65 certified) required
IA (Inspection Authorization) preferred but not required
7+ years of aviation maintenance experience (civilian rotorcraft preferred)
3+ years in an MRO or aircraft inspection role
Strong working knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 27, 29, 43, 91, 133, 135, and 145
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset
Professionalism and accountability are essential
