Job Description
We are seeking a skilled, experienced CNC Milling Machinist/ Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machine setup, and operation, as well as a sound understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
Functioning as a Lead in the CNC Milling department by providing help and support to other Milling Operators, but will not have direct supervisory responsibility.
As assigned, setting up complex jobs in the Milling department and/or running production
Assisting the Engineering Director in programming CNC Milling machines, designing fixtures, determining manufacturing processes, and selecting cutting tools,
Being a key resource in problem-solving and troubleshooting production, process, or mechanical problems
Setting a personal example and being a positive role model with regard to working safely, focusing on Quality, and meeting expected production standards
Setting a personal example of understanding and adhering to Company policies or expectations, such as: 1) the Company’s AS9100 Quality Management System, 2) compliance with ITAR-related policies and requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in CNC milling and/or programming.
Working proficiency in the use of MasterCam software is required
Experience in working with Solid Models
Strong understanding of machine setup, tooling, and fixturing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to meeting customer requirements
