About the Role
Strategize, plan, design, and develop programs by specifying training objectives, content, activities, and methods in program design to meet the identified training and business needs. Supervise and support team members in delivering quality training support. Support for the training competency development of trainers in the department
Roles and Responsibilities:
Planning and Management
Develop short-term and long-term plans with Department Head on section and department structure, policies, training & development strategies, and service benchmarks in order to accomplish the Company mission and training mission
Propose strategic business plan and budget to respective Section Head in achieving training goals
Support Department Head and Directors as a coordinator to plan and execute the required training programs to other distribution channels, including but not limited to Agency, Partnership Distribution Channels, and other stakeholders, to enhance and improve continuously their activity and productivity
Prepare annual budget for respective functional section
Plan and organize the work of subordinates to ensure that performance objectives established are achieved
Act as a project driver in leading projects, events, functions, seminars, etc. arise from the department’s strategic/operational business plan
People Development
Manage the succession planning of the responsible area by reviewing and identifying potential successors, further to implement training and development activities to ensure the succession planning is effective
Develop core competencies to align trainers’ quality and assess development needs
Lead the Train-the-Trainer Program
Perform as Master Trainer to enhance training knowledge and skills of other trainers in the department
Design staff development activities, provide guidance and support to team members to assess personal competencies, values, goals and career plans, so as to develop activities to increase staff productivity
Supervise team members and ensure work effectiveness and efficiency
Monitor and evaluate periodically with team members on work performance
New initiatives / Project
Participate in new business initiatives / project arising from the department’s strategic/operational business plan
Design & Maintenance
Design, develop, implement, and maintain programs by specifying training objectives, content, activities and methods in program design/plan to meet with the identified training and business needs
Identify training needs for agency force and translate training needs into training plans.
Evaluate training effectiveness and revamp contents and methods if needed.
Training Delivery
Execute and deliver quality and effective training to target group in agency force (including but not limited to Agency, Partnership Distribution Channels, and other stakeholders) that are aligned with Company’s KPI
Others
Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by immediate manager in order to meet business requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
University / College graduate plus 10 years relevant experience, including 6 years managerial exposure
Good training sense in terms of course development, design and evaluation
Good presentation, communications, and facilitation skills
Proficient in written & spoken English
Knowledge in insurance industry preferred
PC and Mac skills in some office operating software
Good management skills
Proactive, mature, initiative, customer service oriented, willing and able to learn, team player, trustworthy
Others:
