SUMMARY

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED ON SITE IN NOVI, MI.

Sells and supports the Creform material handling system which consists of AGVs and our proprietary pipe/joint structural building system by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

Manages all aspects of the customer relationship, including sales, delivery, and the interface with the service and support departments.

Sources potential new customers. Maintain regular contact with existing customers.

Manages customer’s assigned territory. Provide technical support and maintain customer relations.

Develops and maintains account profiles for assigned accounts. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.

Develops and executes relationship plan for assigned accounts, developing executive relationships accordingly.

Forecasts and attains revenue goals for assigned accounts.

Travels to meet with customers. On average, 30% travel (frequently overnight) is required. Travel time before and after normal business hours is required. Transportation mode is mainly automobile.

Pre-sales consultation involves a determination of the customer's requirements through communications with the customer. This activity typically begins with a general product presentation and often a survey of the customer's facility. Following this meeting and assessment, Creform sales representatives are responsible for determining how and where the product is useful. The preparation and presentation of a technical proposal normally follows.

Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features. Assembles structures both at Company and customer's site as required.

Reviews diagrams of proposed product layout to effect more efficient space utilization and interprets designs.

CAD design activity is an essential function of the position. Creform structures are regularly designed for the purpose of quotation and assembly. Drawing for technical presentation is required.

When the sales team has completed negotiations and secured a contract, sales engineer must ensure a successful product handover. They identify any work needed to install the product and discusses training requirements with the customer.

Technical sales engineers may supervise installation and troubleshoot any initial operating problems. They also liaise with customers to obtain feedback on product performance and organize any necessary modifications. These specialists deal with customers’ technical queries and monitor support requests to ensure that the product's meeting requirements.

Computer proficiency expected with working knowledge of MS Office. CAD experience is desirable.

Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Possesses and maintains a valid Drivers' License.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Engineering degree required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from four-year College or university. 2-5 years of work experience in sales or manufacturing desirable. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5-S desirable.
